FIEC GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2012

The 29th General Assembly of FIEC Delegates will be held in Bari (Italy) on the morning of Friday, September 7th, 2012. Each member society is invited to send one or two delegates to the meeting. Prof. Olimpia Imperio and her colleagues at the University of Bari are in charge of organizing the meeting on behalf of her society. Each society should provide for the cost of transportation of its delegates to and from Bari. Meals and accomodation will be generously provided by the University of Bari and various official and private sponsors. Here is a general program of events : Thursday September 6th : arrival of all Delegates ; meeting of the FIEC Board (not the Delegates) in the afternoon. Friday September 7th (morning) : General Assembly of FIEC Delegates. Friday September 7th (afternoon) : papers presented by Giuseppe Cambiano, Emanuele Greco, Guglielmo Cavallo and Piero Boitani on the topic « Il mondo classico e le sue tradizioni » (chaired by Luciano Canfora and Paolo Fedeli). Saturday Sept. 8th : touristic excursion in the vicinity of Bari. This excursion is not a mere luxury : it is really the time when our Delegates get to know each other, most often on an informal basis. Sunday Sept. 9th (morning) : departure of Delegates.
