The full Committee convened in Bordeaux on Aug. 29th, 2011, in order to set the broad outline of the congress. A list of panels was established, and a provisional list of keynote guest speakers was drafted. These invited speakers are scholars of high scholarly reputation, who should ideally give a representative sample of Classical studies in a broad sense. While making this list, the Committee tried to find a proper balance between : sub-fields within Classical studies, geographical provenance, and gender.
A call for papers will be issued to the whole scientific community at a later date.
