Société d'Études Latines de Bruxelles
The "Société d'Études Latines de Bruxelles - Latomus", A.S.B.L., founded on July 11, 1936, publishes a quarterly journal and a series titled Latomus. Both publications welcome works dealing with all domains of Latin: texts, literature, history, institutions, archaeology, epigraphy, paleography, Latin humanism, etc.
La "Société d'Études Latines de Bruxelles - Latomus", A.S.B.L., fondée le 11 juillet 1936, publie, sous le titre Latomus, une Revue trimestrielle et une Collection de livres. Celles-ci accueillent des travaux ayant trait à tous les domaines de la latinité: textes, littérature, histoire, institutions, archéologie, épigraphie, paléographie, humanisme latin etc.
The American Philological Association (now Society for Classical Studies)
Founded in 1869 by "professors, friends, and patrons of linguistic science," the APA is the principal learned society in North America for the study of ancient Greek and Roman languages, literatures, and civilizations. While the majority of its members are university and college Classics teachers, members also include scholars in other disciplines, primary and secondary school teachers, and interested lay people.
Fondée en 1869 par des "professeurs, amis et mécènes de la science linguistique", l'APA est la principale société savante d'Amérique du Nord pour l'étude des langues, littératures et civilisations grecques et romaines anciennes. Bien que la majorité de ses membres soient des professeurs des études classiques d'universités et de collèges, elle inclut également des chercheurs d'autres disciplines, des enseignants du primaire et du secondaire et des non-professionnels intéressés.
The GUILLAUME BUDÉ Association, founded in 1917, aims to publish one or more collections of Greek and Latin authors, which may include texts on their own, texts with commentary, translations, or historical or archaeological documents, etc. It also aims to establish and maintain links of solidarity between all those interested in Greco-Latin culture.
L'Association GUILLAUME BUDÉ, fondée en 1917, a pour objet la publication d'une ou de plusieurs collections d'auteurs grecs et latins, pouvant comporter, soit des textes seuls, soit des textes commentés, soit des traductions, soit des documents historiques, archéologiques, etc. Elle se propose en outre d'établir et d'entretenir des liens de solidarité entre tous ceux qui s'intéressent à la culture gréco-latine.
L'Association pour l'Encouragement des Etudes grecques
The Revue des Etudes grecques is an offspring of the Association pour l'Encouragement des Etudes grecques en France. The association was founded on May 7, 1867, and recognized as a public utility establishment on July 7, 1869, before adopting the status of an association, according to the law of 1901. It first published annual proceedings, before creating the Revue des Etudes grecques in 1888.
La Revue des Etudes grecques est une émanation de l'Association pour l'Encouragement des Etudes grecques en France. Cette association a été fondée le 7 mai 1867, reconnue Etablissement d'utilité publique le 7 juillet 1869, avant d'adopter le statut des Associations régies par la loi de 1901. Elle édita d'abord des Actes annuels, puis créa la Revue des Etudes grecques en 1888.
The Société des Études Latines, founded in 1923, brings together members in France, Europe, and abroad who are interested in Roman antiquity in all its aspects (literature, linguistics, historical sciences) and in its continuities (Middle Ages, humanism, Neo-Latin). Through its activities, it contributes to the preservation and promotion of classical studies. Each month, from November to June, it holds a session devoted to scientific communications, which can then be published in the Revue des Études latines (REL), the Society's journal. The REL, edited by the Society, is published annually.
La Société des Études latines, fondée en 1923, réunit les personnes qui, en France, en Europe et à l’étranger, s’intéressent à l’Antiquité romaine sous tous ses aspects (littérature, linguistique, sciences historiques) et à ses prolongements (Moyen Âge, humanisme, néo- latin). Elle contribue, par ses activités, à la défense et au rayonnement des études classiques. Elle tient chaque mois, de novembre à juin, une séance, consacrée à des communications scientifiques, qui pourront être publiées dans la Revue des Études latines (REL), organe de la Société. La parution de la REL, éditée par la Société, est annuelle.
Société Internationale de Bibliographie Classique
The Société Internationale de Bibliographie Classique (SIBC) was founded by Jules Marouzeau in the early 1920s as the Société de Bibliographie Classique. Intended to support the editing and publication of L'Année philologique, this academic society expanded its scope when it took on a decidedly international outlook under the leadership of Juliette Ernst.
La Société Internationale de Bibliographie Classique (SIBC) a été fondée par Jules Marouzeau au début des années 1920, sous le nom de Société de Bibliographie Classique. Destinée à soutenir la rédaction et la publication de L'Année philologique, cette société savante a étoffé son nom lorsqu'elle a pris une dimension résolument internationale sous l'impulsion de Juliette Ernst.
The Classical Association we founded on the 19 December 1903 ‘to promote the development and maintain the well-being of Classical studies’ and from the beginning its members have come from all walks of life. The Association's presidents have included a poet, a zoologist, a publisher and a singer as well as eminent academics and two prime ministers.

For almost a century and a half the Hellenic Society has been the leading organization for the study of Greece with an international membership across all ages and walks of life. It maintains a world class library and publishes internationally acclaimed journals in the field.

The Society for the Promotion of Roman Studies / The Roman Society
The Society for the Promotion of Roman Studies was founded in 1910 as the sister society to the Society for the Promotion of Hellenic Studies.The Roman Society is the leading organisation in the United Kingdom for those interested in the study of Rome and the Roman Empire. Its scope is wide, covering Roman history, archaeology, literature and art down to about A.D. 700. It has a broadly based membership, drawn from over forty countries and from all ages and walks of life.
Fondée en 1910, la Society for the Promotion of Roman Studies, société sœur de la Society for the Promotion of Hellenic Studies, est la principale organisation du Royaume-Uni pour ceux qui s'intéressent à l'étude de Rome et de l'Empire romain. Son champ d'action est vaste, couvrant l'histoire, l'archéologie, la littérature et l'art romains jusqu'à environ 700 après JC. Ses membres sont issus de plus de quarante pays, de tous âges et de tous horizons.
The Classical Association of Scotland
The Classical Association of Scotland was founded in 1902. It acts as a focus for classical studies in Scotland in general, and in particular within three of the older Scottish universities (in chronological order, St Andrews, Glasgow and Edinburgh). Our meetings aim to exploring in a dynamic fashion the common research interests which exist amongst colleagues in the three Scottish Classics departments.

The Nederlands Klassiek Verbond (NKV) is an association for everyone interested in Greco-Roman Antiquity since 1938. The NKV highlights all facets of Antiquity (Classical languages, archaeology, history) and organizes many lectures, excursions and reading circles every year.

The Polish Society of Philology (Societas Philologa Polonorum) was founded in 1893 in Lviv by Prof. Louis Ćwiklińskiego. PTF members are scholars and lovers of ancient culture. The purpose of the society is nurturing and fostering the knowledge of antiquity.

Dansk Selskab for Oldtids-og Middelalderforskning
Classica et Mediaevalia encourages scholarly contributions within the fields of Greek and Latin languages and literature up to, and including, the late Middle Ages as well as Graeco-Roman history and the classical influence in general history, legal history, the history of philosophy and ecclesiastical history.

The Philological-Historical Society was founded on 10.10.1854 with the aim of promoting scholarship in philological-historical fields. The first president was Carl Berg (1812-95). Since then, C. Jørgensen (1851-1916), chairman 1875-1915, and Esbern Spang-Hanssen, chairman 1919-70, shaped the society. Former members include J.N. Madvig, J.L. Heiberg, M.Cl. Gertz, Kr. Sandfeld, Ada Adler (1878-1946) and Carsten Høeg. In addition to organising lectures, the society publishes the series Studier fra Sprog- og Oldtidsforskning.

The Svenska Klassikerförbundet is an association of teachers, researchers, students and others wanting to promote the study and education of Latin, Greek and ancient culture and society. The Svenska Klassikerförbundet was founded in Stockholm in 1935, at a time when there was a definite need for a body that could forge links between teachers and academics and work more directly to preserve and strengthen the position of Classics in schools and society. The Association promotes the status of the classical languages and provides a network of contacts for Classics in Sweden, as well as promoting contacts across borders and being a member of several international Classics organisations.
Le Svenska Klassikerförbundet est une association d'enseignants, de chercheurs, d'étudiants et d'autres personnes souhaitant promouvoir l'étude et l'enseignement du latin, du grec, de la culture et de la société antiques. La Svenska Klassikerförbundet a été fondée à Stockholm en 1935, à une époque où le besoin d'un organisme capable de tisser des liens entre les enseignants et les universitaires et de travailler plus directement à la préservation et au renforcement de la position des langues classiques dans les écoles et la société se faisait sentir. L'association promeut le statut des langues classiques et fournit un réseau de contacts pour les lettres classiques en Suède, tout en favorisant les contacts au-delà des frontières et en étant membre de plusieurs organisations internationales des études classiques.
